2023 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix: Boater’s Guide
Last Updated on May 2, 2023 by Boatsetter Team
If you’re looking for something riveting to do for the weekend, check out the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix on May 4-7, 2023 at the Hard Rock Stadium, also known as the Miami International Autodrome. Starting Friday, you can watch three practices, a qualifying race, and then the main event on Sunday as twenty 1,000-hp cars circle a 3.3-mile track at 200 mph.
- When: May 4-7, 2023
- Where: Hard Rock Stadium (Miami, FL)
- Cost: $590 3-Day Pass (Online sale only)
Nearly 100,000 attendees are expected over the three days, and it’s not unusual to spot celebrities from Michael Jordan to Beyonce. Keep reading this boater’s guide for important information on packages and tips on making the best out of the race.

Definitely make sure to check out VIP packages (Luxury, Suite, and Club) which may include meeting an F1 driver, walking pit-row, and exceptional hospitality, including gourmet catering and live entertainment, before hunkering down with general admission.
Tickets for F1 Miami can be purchased for each of the three days, and prices vary by location around the track, which includes grandstand seating, private suites, and exclusive club locations that can run upwards of $12,000.
If possible, make sure to crave two to three days just to explore Miami. Points of interest to keep in mind when planning your Miami trip:
- South Beach
- Nixon Sandbar
- Biscayne National Park
The best part is all of these can be (and should be) explored by boat! For much less than a ticket to the yachts at F1 Miami, book the perfect boat online, then meet the boat owner at the dock. Make sure to check boat listings for Add-ons (or trip essentials) to make your trip easy as a Florida breeze.
Pro Tip: Go to Sultry Miami for a wonderful evening in front of the beach with an adult drink in your hands. Soak up the rays on the beaches near here when not at the track!
You can skipper your own bareboat to enjoy a pontoon party, rent a center console fishing boat for a day of angling, or raise the sails for the day. For the ultimate MIA experience, book a yacht and relax on a foredeck sunbed.
To capture the nautical ambiance of the Monaco Grand Prix, Miami organizers have created a 25,000-square-foot “marina” inside the stadium! These actual yachts are trucked in and surrounded by a wooden deck topped with a vinyl decal. Exclusive experiences (which can be secured only by calling) are available in multiple clubs or on one of the yachts “docked” inside the track.
If you’re a Miamian who owns a boat, F1 should excite you as this incredible event brings in thousands of people from all over the world looking to explore Miami’s boating scene! Listing your boat on Boatsetter is a sure way to hit the ground running and start earning an extra income (active Boatsetter Owners earn an average of $20,000 annually).
