The Boatsetter team recently joined Jason Taylor and the Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida to spread some boating cheer in the life of a young person with a serious illness. Just before the holidays, Jason Taylor, former Miami Dolphin, avid boater and Boatsetter, took an excited young man out for a boat ride that he will surely never forget.
It was a perfectly sunny South Florida day when Jason Taylor personally captained his boat, driving for hours to be the one to meet his newfound friend, Peyton. The small group that included Captain Jason Taylor, Peyton and his mother as well as Boatsetter CEO, Jaclyn Baumgarten, set out on a boat cruise and day of fun on the South Florida waters.
Peyton got to take the helm and did a great job driving Jason’s boat. He is in the process of getting his “6-pack” Captain License so he knew his way around the captain’s spot. The smiles and memories will be etched forever in the hearts of Peyton and his family as well as Boatsetter and Jason Taylor.
Jason Taylor has made an indelible mark both on and off the football field. As a shoo-in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a top 50 Miami Dolphins player and former ESPN and NBC Sports commentator, JT (as the local Miami set affectionately call him) has also dedicated much of his personal time to improving the lives of Florida’s youth through the Jason Taylor Foundation. Jason even adjusted his 2015 holiday plans to be available during a boating meet up with another child suffering from cancer.
Earlier this year, Jason Taylor got involved as an investor, consultant and “brand fan” with Boatsetter. He chose the local tech startup, for one main reason: he loved the fact that Boatsetter’s mission is to make boating accessible to everyone and anyone; even if they don’t own a boat or have boating experience.
” I was thrilled that Boatsetter was there to facilitate the Make-A-Wish event and be a part of a magical day out on the ocean with one of the good guys, Jason Taylor, who shares in our company’s commitment to giving back and sharing the love of boating with everyone,” Boatsetter CEO, Jaclyn Baumgarten, commented after the event.
South Florida-based, Boatsetter is the leading boat sharing company that has been successfully disrupting the multi-billion boating industry through its powerful boat rental marketplace connecting boat owners, boat captains and anyone who seeks a water-full experience.
