Fun Things to do in Daytona Beach, FL

Aquatic Experiences
Once you’ve taken in the boardwalk scene, it is a must when in Daytona to get out on the water…or in the water, as the case may be.

* Sea Dogs Dive Center
Dive the reefs and wrecks of the Atlantic or give spearfishing a try with Sea Dogs Dive Center. The ships, barges and tugboats wrecked just off the shores of Florida’s east coast are home to a variety of fish and marine life. If you would rather stay on board, you can spend the day photographing sea turtles, rays and angel fish. Sea Dogs Dive Center also offers SCUBA instruction and specialty training courses.

* Rose Bay Water Sports
Take a guided kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP) tour of the waterways around the Daytona Beach area. Rose Bay Water Sports, located at Hidden Treasure Tiki Bar and Grill, rents kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards as well as jet boats and pedal boats. A variety of water sports businesses also give guided kayak and SUP tours.

* Dockside Dining
Whether you’re enjoying a meal after a long day of water sports or just meeting friends for happy hour specials, going to dinner by boat is a really unique and memorable experience.

* Caribbean Jack’s
Located on the Halifax River, Caribbean Jack’s has indoor and scenic outdoor seating. The menu includes soups, salads, pasta, seafood and steak selections complemented by tropical drinks, draft beer and an extensive wine list. Sail up and dock your boat at Loggerhead Marina Daytona Beach, the restaurant’s on-site marina. Daily entertainment and live music make this a popular spot to grab a quick bite or spend a few leisurely hours.

* Blue Grotto Waterfront Dining and Dancing
Blue Grotto is located on the Halifax River and serves tacos, sandwiches, seafood, grilled chicken and ribeye steak. A tiki bar, drink specials and outdoor dining make this a great place to relax and mingle with friends. Blue Grotto is open for lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast. Boat docking is available.
