Sycorax Electric Cruises proudly offers the only 100% electric boat cruises in Southeast Michigan. Our daily luxury cruises voyage over the Detroit straits (Detroit River and Lake St Clair) from May through October.
We have four exciting cruise options for your consideration; when sending a booking inquiry, indicate which cruise you prefer:
1) On the Belle Isle Breeze, passengers aboard the Sycorax will relax in comfort and style for a 75-minute cruise around Belle Isle, one of the most popular urban parks in the U.S. Other sights include the beautiful Windsor waterfront, tranquil Peche Island, Lake Saint Clair, and the historic mansions bordering the Detroit riverfront. Cost is $275 for up to six guests.
2) On the two-hour City Sights River Cruise, you'll relax in luxury aboard the cutting-edge Sycorax electric vessel while we breeze along the number one riverwalk in the U.S., from Belle Isle to the Ambassador Bridge. You'll get a whole new waterfront perspective on the mighty cities of Detroit and Windsor, taking in the breathtaking cityscapes and enjoying unrivaled views of the Ambassador Bridge and the Gordie Howe International Bridge. The cost is $450 for up to six guests.
3) Seeking the ultimate escape? The four-hour Hidden Cove Haven cruise will give you just that! Aboard the fully electric Sycorax, you’ll luxuriate in peace and solitude as we quietly cruise the Detroit River either to the lush and idyllic Ford Cove outside the Michelin-rated Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, or to the industrial yet tranquil McNichols Cove downriver from Detroit. Passengers have the opportunity to swim and relax on our floating chaises, float mat, and inner tubes. Cost is $800 for up to six guests.
4) There’s nothing better than enjoying your favorite music on a beautiful summer evening .. except doing it aboard a first-class electric boat! Catch your favorite act at The Aretha Amphitheatre without all the hassles—parking, paying for tickets, and outrageous lines for concessions and bathrooms—by booking the Sycorax electric boat to anchor outside the amphitheatre and accommodate your private party. Concert cruises of 4-5 hours are $800 for up to six guests; launch times can be adjusted around performance schedules.
At Sycorax Cruises, we’re here to celebrate you — a birthday, a bachelor/ette party, an anniversary or engagement, or just a relaxing summer day on the water — while doing no harm to Mother Nature. No polluting gas fumes. No noise. Just you and the natural beauty of the Great Lakes.
We provide: U.S. Coast Guard-certified captain, first mate, complimentary glass of champagne or beer, nonalcoholic beverages, coolers, ice, cups, and openers for additional beverages, WiFi, life jackets, private portajohn on board, floaties and other water toys, eco-friendly sunscreen, festive decor for special occasions, and dry bags for storage. Four-hour cruises also include uncommonly good charcuterie boards.
Boat rules: Sorry, no pets, no glassware, no fishing. Softsoled shoes or barefeet only, please.
Cruises depart from Stanton Yards in downtown Detroit, directly across from Belle Isle.
Experience the power of silence aboard the X Shore Eelex 8000 cruiser, which melds Swedish maritime craftsmanship with innovative technology solutions that contribute to a future free of fossil fuels.
Gas-powered boats are really bad for the environment. Did you know that a five-hour cruise on a standard yacht burns as much gas as a car would consume driving from New York to L.A.? By choosing an electric cruise, you’re eliminating all that environmental waste. That’s the equivalent of planting six trees per four-hour cruise aboard the Sycorax.
And we’ve taken the guesswork out of booking a private boat charter. Our No-BS promise to you: one price only. Unlike most charters, we bill no fuel surcharge, no captain’s fee or insurance, no separate taxes, and we accept no gratuities. One and done.
