The FAMOUS Capt Tim Frey's History. In the 80's as a kid my dad used to go fishing along the lakefront and take out boats with his friends. I always watched this and sometimes got to come with it. As I grew into a teenager fishing was the last thing on my mind. I became a complete gear-head obsessed with girls and anything with an engine. I worked during high school and had an assortment of jobs. My favorite was working for the carnival for a couple summers. This is where I think I got my bold outgoing personality. I grew up on the northwest side of Chicago in Unincorporated Norwood Park and graduated from Maine South high school . I then followed my passion for cars. I Graduated Wyoming tech with an associates in business management and a degree in building race cars and welding. I made it back home buying a house in Schiller Park and I have worked all kinds of jobs. In 2008 I joined my brother and helped build the CarGuyGarage empire. The whole time owning all kinds of cars and boats. I partied on the chain-o-lakes for years and loved to race at great lakes dragaway. I upgraded to the big lake "lake Michigan '' and found where I wanted to be. Coming back to fishing is a great story. I traded a 1954 Chrysler hot-rod for a boat and it came with fishing gear. I never thought I would use the fishing gear, but I did and got addicted to the sport. From there I did many fishing tournaments. I did so well at this I then was convinced to get my captain's license and became a fishing captain. I worked with a few charter companies, and for the last many years worked with one of the big companies out of Chicago. After many years learning the charter business I find myself now running my own boat as my full time job. My hopes and dreams are now to just keep the charter business going. I enjoy meeting many kinds of personalities and keeping the lakefront fun.
