Overview

Welcome aboard ESCAPE, our 43-foot,2006 Leopard sailing catamaran. I have been sailing and chartering ESCAPE on the Chesapeake since 2022 and hope you will join us for your ESCAPE for a few hours or a few days. Whether sailing with me or one of our highly qualified captains our passion for sailing and being on the water is infectious. Over the past three years, we have meticulously maintained and upgraded ESCAPE to ensure it remains in top condition. PLAN YOUR ESCAPE TODAY. If you are planning a 4-8 hour day trip, ESCAPE is fully equipped with a complete galley, 2 refrigerators for all your food and beverage and 4 heads as needed. We don’t really have any restrictions on food and beverage except that we discourage single use plastics and disposable plates. We provide all those kinds of things including plates, silverware, cups and ice.

If your ESCAPE needs to be a little more extensive we have all the creature comforts you would need for a multi-day cruise. Our 4 cabins each have a queen size bed and ensuite heads/showers. Our galley has a propane stove and oven/broiler, microwave and is fully provisioned with cookware and serving utensils. Depending on your preference you can dine in the salon or alfresco in the cockpit lounge area.

Our Offerings

We offer a couple of different approaches to chartering: Bareboat and Captained.

BAREBOAT CHARTERS are what they sound like, we provide the boat and you provide everything else. We will provide a list of captains that have been approved to operate ESCAPE for you to choose from. Bareboat charters are limited to day charters (4,6 or 8 hours) and (by law) can accommodate the primary charterer and 12 guests, so 13 total. The crew does not count against the passenger count. This is by far the majority of our charters and you can easily get it booked by clicking on the “REQUEST TO BOOK” and select the charter date and time. We will then work with you to make it a great time on the water for you.

CAPTAINED CHARTERS have a similar end result but are more customized to the charterer’s needs. The main difference from the bareboat is that the captain is provided by us and the number of passengers is limited to 6. This clearly doesn’t work for everyone but for those that it does it has a couple of advantages. First, we provide a significant discount for captained charters due to the smaller group and the flexibility of our crew. Second we offer regular day trips (4,6 or 8 hour) as well as multi-day trips. For example, we offer an overnight cruise to St. Michaels, Maryland (think wine festival coming up) that is discounted from the regular daily rate and includes provisions for the trip. We’ll then have BoatSetter customize the contract for you.
